Ebisu
This design is inspired by Ebisu, an indigenous Shinto god in Japanese mythology.
He is the god of luck and fisherman, born to this world without any bones in his body.
Fisherman commonly pray to Ebisu before heading out to sea and tell stories of how Ebisu grants safe passage across the unpredictable and temperamental oceans.
One of his sacred creatures is a Jelly Fish and is known to bring luck.
Our design coined Ebisu has been created to bring prosperity, luck and safe passage.
Embedded into the center of a walnut wooden block is a shiny copper pipe with an almost invisible fishing wire running through the middle.
At the end of the wire is a pink sea urchin, ethically sourced, that has drifted ashore. Craftily intertwined into the sea urchin is a Tillandsia Ionantha Air Plant.
For luck, gently poke the laughing Jelly Fish and watch it bob and weave underneath the walnut block. Think of the smiling Japanese G-d for safe passage back home.
Intricately crafted using strong neodymium magnets, the design can be placed against any surface such as a wall, window or even the underside of a shelf.
One magnet is imbedded into the the walnut wood cube, while the other is placed against the surface using a strong simple-stick adhesive.
Wood, glass, ceramic, brick or painted walls - as long as the surface is smooth the design can be effortlessly placed there, damage free.
The design can also be placed against any metallic surface such as a fridge without the need of the second simple-stick magnet.
